The game against Humanoid Team Humboldt went pretty well. The improvements of the walk finally worked and we were able to actually play through the game. We even had a few good opportunities to score. Right now we are working on the alignment in front of the ball and try to improve the behaviours to hopefully score in the next game in a few hours.
This morning, the left knee servo in both robots broke. After improving the walk and behaviours we were ready to play against “Zju Dancer” at 12:30. It turned out, that see and walking toward the ball is not enough to win a soccer game. After a few good attempts Bender and Flexo stumbled just seconds before kicking the ball.
Kickoff
Tomorrow will be a busy day since we have 3 games, the first against Humanoid Team Humboldt from Berlin at 9 o´clock then at 2 pm against RoboErectus from Singapore and the last at 5 pm against Team Rope.
Today we had our first game. Unfortunately we could not score a goal but the other team neither. So we earned our first point. The game was a good opportunity to reveal our robots weak points and remedy them: The protection was strengthened, Batteries and cables checked and the walking engine slightly redesigned.
